Honor Killings on the Rise in IraqHonor Killings in Iraq are apparently on the rise and worth a look for a photo-led essay. Listen to Anne Garrels chilling NPR radio report on practice here. There is also this article from Human Rights Watch. It also links to other HRW reports. This country report from the US Department of State. It notes that there is, or was, a safe house in located within the International Zone supported by some NGOs. Could be a worthy start for any investigation into the practice. The BBC also has a nice piece on Women and Islam, including a discussion with two experts on the issues.
