Pain killer

An American Army doctor injects pain killer into the leg of a wounded Iraqi man at the FOB Summerall aid station Nov. 30, 2005. The man was shot after he took off in his car in front of a building American soldiers were about to search. Thinking the driver might have been the man they wer looking for, the Americans chased him. The man went around a corner, got out of his car, took off his jacket and ran away. The Americans saw this, told the man in Arabic several times to stop, and chased him. He refused to stop and the Americans fired warning shots. One of the rounds ricochetted off the ground and struck him in the leg. A 9mm pistol, which the Iraqi government bans for private use, was found in his jacket. He had no connection the building they Americans later searched.
